In cooperation with BARMER, we are developing a system that makes workplace health promotion measurable and comparable across companies. The Corporate Prevention Score (CPS) evaluates health in organizations based on occupational health indicators and business metrics. Using a scientifically grounded methodology that incorporates both qualitative and quantitative data, the CPS reveals which companies stand out through particularly effective health promotion measures and health-supportive working conditions—both within their industry and in cross-industry comparisons.
The CPS provides companies with clear orientation: it shows their position relative to other organizations and offers targeted recommendations derived from best-practice examples of companies that achieve particularly high scores in workplace health promotion. These recommendations are based on comprehensive analyses and statistical evaluations of the collected data. They help companies build on existing strengths and identify new opportunities for enhancing employee health and well-being.
Companies that achieve exceptionally high scores in comparison to their peer group are recognized with an award. This distinction is grounded in a data-driven analysis of health-related working conditions, the implementation of workplace health measures, and employees’ perceptions of these initiatives. It signals to potential applicants and employees that the organization has established an outstanding health management system and is actively committed to the well-being of its workforce.
With the CPS, we create a scientifically robust foundation for promoting workplace health not only individually but also systematically and comparatively. Our methodology combines practice-oriented data collection with rigorous statistical analysis to provide companies with meaningful insights into how they can optimize their health strategies. Moreover, the CPS highlights which measures contribute to a sustainably healthy work culture and how companies can integrate their health strategy into a continuous improvement process.
