GesundAgil is a research team that specialises in the practice-oriented investigation of the health opportunities and risks associated with agile working practices.
The introduction of New Work presents employees with a variety of challenges that can affect their physical and mental health.
- What impact do agile working methods have on the health of employees?
- How can employees be empowered to create working structures in agile work environments that maintain and promote their health?
- How can agile working methods be used to improve the work-life balance of employees and thus promote their long-term health and motivation?
- Are agile frameworks (e.g. Scrum) good for mental health? What happens when agile scaling or a hybrid application of methods (agile and classic approaches) is implemented?
- What measures can companies take to create a healthy and productive work environment for agile teams?
- How can risk assessment of mental stress be carried out in an evidence-based manner in the context of New Work?
The research team deals with a wide range of issues relating to new work and agile working practices in connection with health. Our research combines practical investigations with scientific evidence and attaches great importance to the applicability of our findings in the working world.
How will this be implemented?
Our research projects are based on the concept of the ‘Employee Health Experience’. This approach focuses on people and their health. Using human-centred design approaches, we work together with employees and stakeholders to understand and influence the realities of work and life in order to implement long-term, sustainable solutions.
Our participatory approach offers a wide range of opportunities to develop an individualised and diversity-sensitive perspectives in corporate structures and occupational health practice. Occupational health management (OHM) is an important part of our work. The GesundAgil team takes a holistic, audience-oriented, needs-oriented and resource-saving perspective that takes both situational and behavioural prevention into account.
The project implementation is based on modern methods and combines the methods like Scrum, strategic design (design thinking) and scientific work at the highest level. The interdisciplinary project team itself works in an agile manner and uses advanced tools and working methods. This results in an immersive, well-founded research concept.
Evidence-based and practical solutions
Our goal is to conduct sustainable and practice-oriented research that helps to promote and maintain the health of employees in agile work environments.
